ORDINATOR EPROM programmer board
The EPROM programmer board of the ORDINATOR allows us to program 2K (2716) and 4K (2732A) EPROM chips. The board supports a 21 V program voltage which must be supplied by an external power supply. It cannot be used to program "plain" 2732 EPROM chips because they need 25 V.
This board was originally our only means of programming 2732A EPROM chips; it has been superseded by the DISKSERVER EPROM programmer board that can handle more types of EPROM chips (2716 up to 27512). We hardly
ever used 2716 EPROMs, however.
The board implements program pulse timing in hardware but does not
generate an interrupt when ready. Because of the latter, it has never been
supported by anything other then DIAMOND.
The ORDINATOR EPROM programmer board is also described on pages 12-13 of the book "THE ORDINATOR PROJECT".
